Update on my current situation

Dead Men Tell No Tales

So, I’m offically enrolled on my course. I am so glad of it, as it means I will finally be getting off jobseekers allowance and hopefully things start looking up. I’m not going to go off on a big psuedo-philosphical spiel but essentially the las year has just been rough, and I’m glad I’m out of it.

I also have my laptop back.

I’m making slight progress on the art front, getting back slowly

Hiatus (is hopefully) Over

cross posting as I’ve got some updates to tell ya’ll

Dead Men Tell No Tales

First things first, my laptop is back so that hopefully means I will be able to blog properly again and means I can do art

I finished that workplacement, nope no job, suprise, suprise

Had an interview at the weekend that was quite disappointing, not so much what I did but the shop put me off. Nice going.

And my last biggest piece of news is…

I got into the Applied Animal Science HND, so that means come September I’ll be in education again! I’ll be going back to my old college but going in on a university level course which I admit feels weird as I’m going back to somewhere I’ve been before but things will be different. Also I’m not going with my best friend which also feels weird as I’ve gone through all my other courses with her.

So things seem to be looking up, finally!

Is This Thing Still On?

So as you may have noticed I have not updated this blog in some time.

I haven’t really had much I can post in all honesty. I’ve ended up back on JSA after the job I took basically imploded. And so I’ve been trying to find work.

And thus I’ve somewhat lost my motivation to blog on here. I’m still fairly active on my art blog however.

2012 in review

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 9,600 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 16 years to get that many views.

Absolute, Unadulterated Epicness

As a MLP collector and a Transfan I most heartily approve of this blend which results in much epicness.

My Little Transformer

Ah the Joy and Humour of Knockoffs

So yesterday on the way to college a new shop was opening. In place of the Woolworth’s in Canterbury there was a new Poundland opening.

So of course I had to go into there with my friend and see what if any fakies they had and other cheap toys. Once I have a chance I shall be adding some images.

They had a bunch of transformers fakes, one lot had a rather amusing name ‘Vanguard Defenders’ and had ripped off the logo of Transformers Animated

Some odd ‘warrior’ toys calling themsevles ‘Legend of the Dragon’ and they were riding:

An elephant

A polar bear

A tiger.

‘J.I. Joe toys’ I kid you not amongst all the ‘ninjas’ in this range looking badass and riding motorbikes, they have one on a horse.

And now the main point fakies. Under the ‘Funtastic’ brand which I’ve found have a lot of fakies I’ve been finding in stores they have made a G3 mould fakie, in the shop they had a choice of green, pink and peach coloured fakies. They come with the usual assortment of little hair accessories and generally look quite cute. They also had pairs of ‘hard plastic horses’ with plastic manes and tail and guess what? Combs and hair accessories.

I can picture some poor kid trying to brush the plastic hair now. I shall add pictures of the little green fakie with all the G3 mould fakies I am wondering how the heck they seem to have a mould for a G3 yet shrink it down. Maybe I should show off some of my G3 fakies, most are pretty convincing but one is absoutley terrifying. XD

I also picked up a rather cute little Polar Bear Teddy and there’s a bigger toy I found in a charity shop I may show you 😛

To the Bootfair

Yesterday, for the first time in ages my brother and I got to head down the bootfair. Now we had to dodge the rain but this one was better equipted than my local, as they pulled up tarps and thankfully the rain stopped.

The only thing I regret was having to leave behind a G3 playset, sure I don’t really have the room for them and it has ponies I already had and well I couldn’t easily carry a big old bag full of playset (I had to do that when I found a Celebration Castle, and it wasn’t fun) I still felt rather fed up about leaving it. I also came across a lone Sparkleworks but I already own her and also a G2 Pony which I owe

Anyway, enough of my moaning. This is what I found yesterday along with a Jigglypuff bag I’m giving to my friend and some books.

I quite like the little McDonald’s pony, I am wondering what other colours they are as I have a blue one with a sun as a symbol, and finding the Keyper’s pony was pretty neat. The big fakie looks quite similar to one I had as a kid, but she was grey and white. And there is something quite weird about the little fakie’s eyes…
Poor little guy has a squint, makes them kind of cute.

And this pony has got to be one of the dirtest I’ve ever found… But I think it’s mostly surface dirt, phew

That reminds me, I really need to catch up on my pony cleaning…

Hang on, I forgot to mention these guys my mum found for me last week. Somehow she found three G3’s with princess outfits and a bunch of Build a Pony accessories. I thought that was pretty impressive as I’m in the UK
